camel spiders fool

from the small amount of reading i've done on these creatures, i can tell you that they aren't actually spiders (they are not part of Araneae, but from another order of Arachnida, Solifugae.) These arachnids are quite populous in the middle east, making them quite prolific in the practical jokes played on each other by U.S. servicemen.

a while back i found a video of a marine eating one, but tragically it has been deleted. on my quest to find a similar clip, i happened upon a description of a fear factor scenario in which two people race to eat FOUR camel spiders.

this lo-res photo of the legs dangling from a woman's mouth was the best i could do to exhibit this competition.
